Delbarton recorded its 14th shutout in 17 games this season as it took care of business in a win against Chatham. Will Stroud scored both of the goals for the Green Wave in its 2-0 boys' soccer victory. Stroud converted a pass from Steven Hadley eight minutes into the game, then put the contest away in the final minutes off a scramble in the box. Sam Fuchs earned the assist on the second goal.
The Green Wave put forward its usual strong defensive effort, forcing goalie Iago Robertson-Lavalle to make just one save to earn the clean sheet. Chatham, which has struggled mightily to score goals this season, was shut out for the 10th time this year. Goalie Henry Stusnick made six saves, but the Cougars fell to 3-9-1. Delbarton is now 16-1. The Green Wave, ranked #3 in the state of New Jersey, will take on Randolph this weekend as it seeks a third straight Morris County title.
