The Passaic Tech girls' volleyball team got a challenge from Paterson Eastside in their first meeting of 2014. But a fast start to the decisive game propelled the Bulldogs to victory.

PCTI recorded a 25-16, 20-25, 25-20 win over the Ghosts. Kristina Nieves filled the scoresheet for the Bulldogs, recording three kills, three aces, two blocks and 11 service points.

Jayda Batista recorded two kills and an ace for Passaic Tech, while Kaori Suzuki had five assists.

For Eastside, Kathy Davis had four kills, three blocks and two aces. Christal Cabrera recorded seven assists and an ace. The Ghosts are now 3-4.

Passaic Tech is also 3-4 with the win.
