Greg Toal compiled 299 football coaching victories in 32 years on the sideline. The wait for his 300th win may have only seemed that long. Don Bosco Prep fended off an upset bid from DePaul to score a 35-21 home triumph and achieve the milestone for its veteran coach. It was the first win of the season for the Ironmen after three consecutive losses to out-of-state opponents.

Tommy Courtney rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown, while also catching three passes for 45 yards. Jalen Berger also had a TD run for the Ironmen. Six different Don Bosco players had catches, led by Elijah Singh's six grabs for 63 yards and a touchdown. Wankeith Akin made five receptions for 59 yards, while Casey Dana grabbed four balls for 57 yards and a score. Marcellus Earlington also had a TD catch for the Ironmen. DePaul's Ta'quan Roberson threw for 149 yards, including a 58-yard touchdown to Nysere Nunn on a tipped ball. Roberson was also the Spartans' leading rusher with 40 yards. The other DePaul quarterback, Shelton Applewhite, had 60 total yards and a touchdown run. Ronnie Hickman caught four passes for 70 yards, and John Amodeo kicked two field goals. DePaul drops to 0-3.
