Wayne Hills returned to the summit of Passaic County field hockey with a 3-0 victory over Passaic Valley in Friday evening's championship game. The Patriots captured their first title since 2010 and their 11th overall in school history. Stephanie Karback scored just 20 seconds into the contest and later added an assist as Wayne Hills built a 2-0 halftime lead.
Delaney Burns completed the scoring in the final minutes to go along with her assist on the initial goal. Goalie Christina Fabiano made three saves. The top-seeded Patriots are 14-1 this season and have allowed just three goals total. Passaic Valley, the third seed in the county tournament, is now 9-5 overall.
