VIDEO: Ramapo and Mount Olive battle to tie on the ice

Mount Olive rallied from behind four times to pull out a 5-5 ice hockey tie with Ramapo. The game was the first of the Ice Vault Holiday Classic for both squads.

Michael Pear recorded a hat trick for Ramapo, with his third goal putting the Green Raiders ahead in the third period. But Joseph Potente notched a power-play goal with less than four minutes to play to even the score once again.

Potente had two goals and one assist for Mount Olive. Blake Corbett led the offense for the Marauders, recording two goals and two assists.

Tyler Pratt added a goal and an assist for Mount Olive.

Payton Fogarty notched a goal and two assists for Ramapo. Pierce Fogarty also had a goal, while Ben Surat contributed two assists.

Ramapo goalie Luke Mutterer made 22 saves. The Raiders are now 2-4-2 overall.

Mount Olive netminder Brendan Wakefoose stopped 21 shots. The Marauders are 5-1-2.

Both teams have regular-season games this week, before completing their action in the holiday tournament with two more contests following Christmas.
