Jersey Sports Now is proud to announce the completion of a project to upgrade all our scoreboard and standings pages. Now when we receive a score or a schedule change, that information will be automatically reflected across all of those pages instantly.

Many of the changes have been in place since the start of the fall high school sports season, and you may have already seen some of them. But in case you haven't noticed yet, here's a rundown of what's new:

Live Scoreboard - This page works much as it did previously, but the upgrade allows us to get scores up a little quicker. The biggest change is that now any scoreboard pages from earlier in the season (or future dates) can now be viewed--previously, we could only keep one week's worth of scoreboard pages.

Standings & Rankings - A big change here. Previously we had to manually update these pages, a laborious task that was usually done once a week at best. Now the standings are automatically tied into the scoreboard, so when a final score is reported, that result is instantaneously reflected in the standings! So you can stay right up to date on how your team is doing in its league. We will also continue to post new JSN Top 5 rankings each week for each sport.

Regional Schedule - This page is also far more useful under our new system. Previously, we updated the page at the start of each week. Now the page changes every day, with the current day's schedule listed at the top and the listing for the next six days following. Also, any time a game is postponed or cancelled, that information is automatically updated on the schedule page.

School Schedules/Results Pages - Like the regional pages, these pages are also tied into the database. So whenever we get new information--a final score, a postponement, a time change or an added game--the affected school's schedule/result page is updated automatically to reflect it.

We hope these improvements will enhance your experience on Jersey Sports Now, and make our site an even more useful resource for local high school sports fans.
