The ball rolled around the rim for what seemed like an eternity, with a sectional title on the line for the Boonton boys' basketball team. The Bombers made a valiant comeback in this game against Cresskill, rallying from 10 points down to take a lead in the final minute. But Cresskill made a clutch shot to move back in front in the final seconds. Now it was all up to this one last attempt... and cruelly, the basketball circled the rim and fell off, ending Boonton's remarkable season on a truly disappointing note.
