The Butler football team was one of the biggest stories of the 2009 season. Bouncing back from an 0-10 campaign, the Bulldogs got on a roll early, and lost only once in the regular season. Butler then added two impressive playoff victories to its resume, before falling to Mountain Lakes (the only team to beat the Bulldogs all year) again in the football section final at Giants Stadium.
