As the #15 seed, Butler acted more like a juggernaut to reach the North 1, Group I baseball sectional final. The Bulldogs outscored three higher-seeded teams by a whopping 45-1. But against 4th seed Emerson, a three-run first-inning home run put Butler behind early, and despite a number of scoring chances, the Bulldogs couldn't finish off the Cinderella story.
