Missed opportunities plagued DePaul in its opening-night football matchup with perennial power St. Joe's at Giants Stadium. The Spartans outplayed the Green Knights in the first half, but were only tied 7-7 at intermission. St. Joe's would explode offensively after the break, pulling away for the gridiron victory.
