In the first regular-season girls' basketball matchup of the two schools, DePaul took charge in the second half to beat Wayne Hills. The Patriots had a one-point halftime lead after a late second-period surge, but the Spartans, behind 25 points from sharpshooter Alisha Cornett, pulled away to score the victory.
