Pompton Lakes jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the Passaic County softball quarterfinals against Lakeland High School. But it wouldn't be easy for the third-seeded Cardinals. The sixth seed Lancers rallied to make it close and threatened to tie the game in the 7th inning before Pompton Lakes secured the victory.
