The North 1, Group III sectional semifinal between Montville and Ramapo could well have been a state final. It featured two of the top ten teams in the state, and it proved to be a tight battle all the way. Montville twice saw leads get away in wet and windy conditions that made things very difficult. But J.P. Correa converted a free kick with just over a minute to play to pull it out for the Mustangs and send them to the sectional final again.
