It was a very eventful year for the Mountain Lakes football team. After the first coaching change in 44 years, the Herd tried to extend its best-in-New Jersey winning streak. By pulling out several down-to-the-wire games, the Herd pushed the streak to 35 and reached another state final, before coming up just short of a third straight title.
