Mountain Lakes rode its high-powered offense to a league title and the quarterfinals of the Public B ice hockey state tournament. The 3rd-seeded Lakers hoped to keep it going against upstart 11th seed Middletown South. But the Eagles proved themselves a more-than-worthy adversary.
