As the #4 seed, Pequannock may have expected an easy time of it in its first-round New Jersey state girls' basketball tournament matchup against 13th-seed Kittatinny. It would not turn out that way. The Cougars rallied in the fourth quarter to tie the score, and the Panthers had to hang on in the final seconds to secure the two-point win.
