For three quarters, Boonton's key Week Three football contest with Pequannock was a defensive struggle. The Bulldogs trailed early, but came back to take a four-point lead. Then Butler's physical play paid dividends in the final period, as they pulled away to win. For the Panthers, the defeat is a disappointing reminder of last year's tough loss to Butler in the same week of the season.
