The unbeaten Pequannock softball team endured a long layoff prior to the start of the North 1, Group II sectional tournament. It didn't seem to bother the Panthers too much as they rolled to their second sectional title in three years. In the final against Ramsey, Pequannock jumped ahead quickly thanks to Kayla Lombardo, and pitcher Dana Nielsen kept the Panthers in front the rest of the way.
