Pompton Lakes fell short in a bid for its third consecutive softball sectional title. Playing in Group II this year, the Cardinals' season ended in the section semifinals. Intimidating Indian Hills pitcher Katie Enright fired a shutout while the Braves clicked on offense. Pompton Lakes finishes the New Jersey spring sports season at 21-6.
