Pompton Lakes did not dominate its North Jersey Section 1, Group I sectional final field hockey matchup against a strong Boonton team. In fact, the Bombers had more chances in the game, but the play of Cardinal goalie Amy Cahill, and a couple of timely scores, lifted Pompton Lakes to its 12th field hockey sectional title. While the Cardinals move on to the New Jersey Group I state semifinals, its the end of a strong sports season for the Bombers.
