Pompton Lakes met longtime rival Glen Rock in what was expected to be a tight quarterfinal softball matchup in North 1, Group II. The Cardinals took the lead and almost made the single run stand up, but the Panthers rallied to tie the game in the sixth, then pulled it out in the eighth inning to eliminate Pompton Lakes.
