The setting was picturesque, but the result was hardly what the Wayne Hills football team wanted or expected. The Patriots' string of five straight North Jersey Section 1, Group III sectional titles came to an end in a snowstorm at Giants Stadium. Rival Ramapo jumped out to a first-half lead, then turned away the Patriots numerous times to preserve the victory. Wayne Hills finishes the football season at 10-2.
