The Wayne Hills girls' lacrosse team is used to scoring goals in bunches. But after a high-scoring loss to DePaul in a regular-season game, the Patriots played a more deliberate style in the Passaic County final against the Spartans. DePaul took a 4-3 lead early in the second half, but Wayne Hills scored five of the next six goals and then held on to become the first-ever county girls' lacrosse champion.
