History suggested Wayne Hills would have little trouble in its North 1, Group III sectional football semifinal. While the Patriots were looking to reach a sectional final for the seventh straight year, High Point was only playing in its fourth state playoff game ever. It was no contest, as the Patriots dominated from start to finish. Hills will play Old Tappan in the sectional final at New Meadowlands Stadium.
