The Wayne Hills softball team had a very strong start to the 2011 season, including a win over defending state champion Indian Hills on opening day. But the second half of the campaign proved tougher. In the second round of the states, the Patriots again faced the Braves, and this time came out on the short end, bringing their season to a close.
