The first-round Passaic County girls' basketball game between third seed Lakeland and #14 seed West Milford was decided in two big runs by the Lancers. Those streaks, one in each half, gave Lakeland an unassailable advantage. The Highlanders played well for most of the contest, and outscored Lakeland except during those two stretches, but the huge runs pushed the Lancers into the second round.
