Seton Hall Prep continued its efforts to right the ship by winning a Top 20 battle against Westfield. The Pirates steadily built the lead over three quarters, then held on late for the 11-9 victory. Griffin Westlin led Seton Hall with four goals and one assist. The Pirates led by as many as six goals before conceding five goals in the fourth quarter to make the final score a great deal closer.
It's the second straight win for Seton Hall after it lost three out of four games. Brian Tevlin notched two goals and two assists for the Pirates. Jack Rutter had two goals plus one assist, and Liam McCabe also scored twice. Jack Gorelick added a goal and Colin Kirst made seven saves for Seton Hall. Westfield was led by James Bohlinger, who scored three goals and added two assists. Blake Taylor scored twice for the Blue Devils and Toby Burgdorf had 11 saves. The loss drops Westfield to 3-6; all of its losses against New Jersey opponents have been to ranked teams. Seton Hall is now 6-3.
