Johnathan Lewis ran for five touchdowns for St. Peter's Prep in its football clash with Bergen Catholic. It turned out the Marauders needed all of those scores--and more.

Surviving a frantic second-half comeback, St. Peter's held on for a 48-42 win at Caven Point in Jersey City. Bergen Catholic scored 36 points in the second half and simply ran out of time in the final minutes.

Lewis ended up with 138 rushing yards to go along with his five touchdowns. He also threw for 194 yards, including a touchdown pass to Shayne Simon.

Still, it was Dakari Falconer who scored what proved to the the winning touchdown. His 58-yard run gave St. Peter's a 48-20 lead with under nine minutes to play.

Johnny Langan led Bergen Catholic back, throwing three touchdown passes over the next seven minutes to cut the lead to six. Masaki Aerts recovered an onside kick to halt the onslaught, but Bergen Catholic got the ball back in the final seconds. On the game's last play, however, Justin Ademilola got pressure on Langan and prevented him from throwing the ball deep downfield for a Hail Mary attempt.

Ademilola was a terror all night for the Marauders, recording five sacks along with the last-play pressure. Simon caught five passes for 94 yards along with his score, and Aerts had five receptions for 63 yards.

Langan threw the ball 59 times in the game, completing 29 throws for 339 yards and all six Bergen Catholic touchdowns. Adding in three two-point conversions on passing plays, Langan's arm was responsible for all 44 points for the Crusaders.

Ankaury Camilo caught nine passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns. Dylan Classi also made nine grabs, totaling 81 yards and two scores. Michael Feaster added six catches for 67 yards and a touchdown.

Rahmir Johnson ran for 99 yards as Bergen Catholic outgained St. Peter's on the night, but fell to 4-2 on the season. The Crusaders had been ranked #1 in New Jersey in at least one poll coming into the game.

St. Peter's improves to 5-1.
