VIDEO: Old Tappan 5th graders pull away to beat Wayne PAL

A late second-half surge allowed the Old Tappan 5th-grade team to defeat the Wayne PAL in pool play at the PAL's March Madness Tournament. The final score was 40-29 in favor of the visitors.

Wayne held the early lead in this game but Old Tappan took a five-point advantage by halftime. After the break, the PAL team stayed close, pulling to within 28-25 with seven minutes left to play. But Old Tappan would finish the contest on a 12-4 run.

Both Old Tappan and the Wayne PAL team would be eliminated in the tournament quarterfinals.
