A week after winning the Essex County boys' volleyball tournament, Bloomfield met up once again with its opponent from the county final. And once again the Bengals came out on top, sweeping Livingston 25-14, 29-27. Khalil Naouai had 12 kills to lead Bloomfield. Noel Shaji notched eight kills, including the final two points of the match as the Bengals pulled out a tight second game.
Al-Samad Henderson had five blocks for Bloomfield, while Jose Bruno contributed 22 assists and two blocks. For Livingston, Ejiro Okopie had eight kills and four blocks. Conrad Kurowski scored three kills and eight blocks, while Jake Rulka added five kills. Dan Zhu had 18 assists for Livingston, which falls to 13-10. This was Senior Day for the Lancers in their final regular-season home match. Bloomfield improves to an impressive 22-3. The Bengals clinched a tie for the Super Essex Conference American Division title and can wrap up the league title with a win in their last regular-season match.
